As ITU TÖMER research team, we attended the 5th Student Symposium on Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language hosted by Gazi University on 4 - 5 December 2023. Our vice director, PhD. Elif Sayar contributed to the symposium with her paper titled "Determination of Academic Turkish Vocabulary for International Students". In the same session, one of our valuable research team member, PhD. Bihter Dereli took part with her paper titled "An Action Research on Improving the Turkish Reading Skills of International Students for General Academic Purposes". As ITU TÖMER research team, we closely follow the developments in the field of Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language and continue to contribute to the field with our academic studies.
