On March 16th, we shared our iftar in a warm, family-like atmosphere with a variety of delicious dishes handmade and brought by our students and teachers. Afterward, we experienced nostalgic and entertaining moments watching our Karagöz and Hacivat shadow play, which has become a beloved tradition at our TÖMER.
As ITU TÖMER family, we ensure that our students' language learning journey extends beyond the classroom by continuing to support them with social activities centered on experiential learning. We participated in the "Workshop on Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language in the Age of Artificial Intelligence," organized by Yıldız Technical University TÖMER on December 1, 2025, representing İTÜ TÖMER and the İTÜ Natural Language Processing Research Group.
With the historic decision adopted at UNESCO's 43rd General Conference on November 3, 2025, December 15 has been officially declared "World Turkic Language Family Day."
As the ITU TÖMER family, we continue to support language learning with social activities. On November 17th, our teachers and students gathered around a delightful table at the 'Evening Breakfast' event held in the MED-B building.
