"Natural Language Processing Workshop" was held in Ankara on 25-26 April 2024 between the Turkish Language Association and Istanbul Technical University Natural Language Processing Group and the Turkish Language Association to share information in the field of natural language processing and to discuss possible technological expansions for the needs of the Turkish Language Association.

TDK President Prof. Dr. Osman MERT, Vice President Assoc. Dr. Harun ŞAHİN, General Director of Innovation and Educational Technologies of the Ministry of National Education Mustafa CANLI, Head of the Translation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hakan ABACI, representatives of TÜBİTAK Bilgem Artificial Intelligence Institute and Turkish Language Association Scientific Committee Members in the fields of Turkish Dictionary and Spelling, Grammar and Linguistics, Terminology, and Turkish Education and academicians attended the workshop.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Osman MERT emphasized that the workshop will be instrumental in establishing important bridges between Turkish and computer sciences, and will bring together linguists and informatics experts to develop more effective systems for the Turkish language.

As İTÜ TÖMER and İTÜ Natural Language Processing Group, we hope to develop joint projects on language technologies by collaborating with the Turkish Language Association.
